APFA aims to start Legends leagues in the remaining 16 districts. Each district football association runs the leagues in up to five towns.

Six teams in every town

Each team is named after a football legend. Pick a team to see its matches in the schedule below.

Free kit for every child. Uniform, shoes and a ball worth almost ₹2,000, so cost is never the reason a child misses out.

Every team plays every other team twice, once home and once away: three matches a week for 10 weeks.

From first kick to 18

  1. U-10Join a Legends teamChildren start in their town's Legends league and get free kit.
  2. 30 weeksPlay every yearEach season runs for 30 weeks of weekly fixtures.
  3. Up to 18Keep playingChildren are encouraged to stay for up to 10 years, until they leave home for college at 18.
  4. 1 lakhGrow the gameWith a new batch every year, APFA expects at least one lakh children to play in 10 years.

Parents and district coordinators can register a child for a Legends team here. Fill in the details and upload a clear photo of the child.
